The Wedding Film Revolution
Wedding videography... A term that sends shivers down many creators' spines. The film industry often distances itself from it, and people in the field frequently mock it. They see it as a separate discipline with little to do with high-quality video production. They turn away from us, thinking of dull, clichéd wedding clips...
But what if things could be different? What if we could raise the bar for wedding videos in the Czech Republic to a whole new level? How can we achieve that?

Inspiration from America
In America, I discovered a concept that captivated and inspired me. Justin Porter films wedding movies in the style of reality show documentaries. His videos are comprehensive, well-crafted, and technically brilliant. A major revelation for me was that all key people wear wireless microphones under their clothes, capturing every sigh and every whispered sentiment. As they say, sound is often more important than the image.
What truly surprised and inspired me was not just the multi-camera shooting throughout the day. Justin works on his film for weeks before the wedding. He visits the families and friends of the couple and conducts interviews with them. These interviews add story, depth, and emotion to the film that a standard wedding clip can never capture.

Why is it importrant?
In ten years... when you look back at your wedding video, you'll likely appreciate more than just beautiful footage. You'll want to hear again the advice your grandmother gave for your marriage. You'll want to relive the moment when your father said something touching. These are memories that fade over time but can be preserved forever in the depth of a video.
I believe a wedding film should not only be about stunning visuals. It should tell the stories that unfold between the lines and behind the scenes. These stories are captured through interviews, high-quality sound, and experienced cameramen who capture the most precious moments.
The Rolls Royce of wedding films
I call this style the Rolls Royce of wedding films because it is meticulously crafted down to the last detail and features a unique approach that has yet to be seen in our scene. Our process begins with a consultation where we discuss what is most important to the client, how much time they want to dedicate to filming on the wedding day, and which loved ones should be involved. We listen to their story and create the basic structure of the video.
Next, we conduct interviews with the couple's family and friends. We arrive well-prepared but maintain a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to ensure the interviews are as authentic as possible. These interviews are the foundation of the emotions that the film conveys. We slightly stylize the scenes, add lighting, and use the highest-quality equipment to achieve the best possible results.
Preparation is key
The wedding venue should be visited in advance to plan technical details—where the team will be based, where cameras will be placed, and where the drone will be flown. If the venue is far away, high-quality photos of the space will suffice. This pre-production phase is crucial for ensuring a smooth filming process
Wedding Day: Authenticity First
The day before the wedding, we arrive at the venue to prepare everything. If family and friends have already arrived, we use this time to film additional interviews. On the wedding day, we spend the entire day with you from the morning. Each partner has their own cameraman who captures the preparations and unique moments. Another cameraman films the venue, guest arrivals, and short interviews. The sound engineer places wireless microphones on all key individuals to ensure every important moment is recorded.
Throughout the wedding day, we strive to capture the maximum amount of emotion while minimizing our presence. Filming concludes late at night on the dance floor. We pack up the equipment and either join the party or head back home. The post-production process, which is quite demanding for this type of format, follows, and the final product is typically delivered about two months after the wedding
A Wedding Film as a Lifetime Experience
Our goal is to create a wedding film that is not just a record of your special day but a journey back to the emotions you experienced. A film that you'll want to watch over and over again to remind yourself of what truly matters—love, friendship, and unforgettable moments with your closest ones.
We aim to change the perception of wedding films in the Czech Republic. We want the wedding video to become more than just a memento of a beautiful day—it should be an emotional story that you will cherish and revisit for years to come.
